Together with Giuseppe Penone, Francesco Vezzoli is representing Italy at the 52nd Biennale di  Venezia where he presents a two channel video installation that some labeled as too American but that was indeed mirroring a lot the under-Berlusconi Italian political culture of the last twenty years. Democrazy, that’s the title of his work, features Sharon Stone and Bernard-Henri Lévy.

The artist has enrolled two of Washington D.C’s most prominent polical spin doctors, Marc McKinnon and Bill Knapp, to write two hypothetical scripts for the campaign of two US presidential candidates: on one side, Sharon Stone, on the other, the French philosopher.

In this interview Vezzoli introduces us into Democrazy.
